Khalid Haddi

Agricultural Engineer (1999) from the Hassan II Agronomic and Veterinary Institute (Morocco), Master (2008) in Safe Production in Horticulture from the University of Copenhagen (Denmark), and the Università degli Studi di Catania (Italy). PhD (2012) in Entomological Sciences and Agro-systems Protection from the Università degli Studi di Catania (Italy). From 2013 to 2019 he was a Post-Doctor in the Graduate Program in Entomology at UFV (CAPES Concept 7). Since 2019, he has been a professor at the Department of Entomology at the Federal University of Lavras (UFLA) where he advises master's and doctoral students in the Graduate Program in Entomology (CAPES Concept 6). He participates in the Graduate Program in Biotechnology at UFLA. He created and leads the Laboratory of Molecular Entomology and EcoToxicology (MEET) where he develops studies in the areas of entomology and phytosanitary, ecotoxicology, and molecular biology, with emphasis on the following topics: toxicology of insecticides and resistance of insects to insecticides, molecular aspects of insecticide action on ion receptors and channels, insect physiology and behavior (mainly invertebrate locomotion and odor perception), and sublethal effects of insecticides and essential oils. He is a member of the editorial board of Entomologia Generalis, CABI Agriculture and Bioscience, and Neotropical Entomology, and a reviewer for several national and international journals and journals.

De 2013 a 2019 foi Pós-Doutor no programa de Pós-Graduação em Entomologia da UFV (Conceito 7 da CAPES). Desde 2019, é professor no Departamento de Entomologia da Universidade Federal de Lavras ( UFLA) onde orienta estudantes de mestrado e doutorado no programa de Pós-Graduação em Entomologia (Conceito 6 da CAPES). Participa do programa de Pós-Graduação em Biotecnologia da UFLA. Criou e lidera o Laboratorio de Entomologia Molecular e EcoToxicologia (MEET) onde desenvolve estudos nas áreas de entomologia e fitossanidade, ecotoxicologia e biologia molecular, com ênfase nos seguintes temas: toxicologia de inseticidas e resistência de insetos a inseticidas, aspectos moleculares da ação de inseticidas em receptores e canais iônicos, fisiologia e comportamento de insetos (principalmente locomoção e percepção de odores de invertebrados) e efeitos subletais de inseticidas e óleos essenciais. É membro do comitê editorial das revistas Entomologia Generalis, CABI Agriculture and Bioscience e Neotropical Entomology e revisor por vários jornais e revistas nacionais e internacionais.
