Andres Gambini
Possui doutorado em Doctorado de la UBA en Reproducion Animal - Universidad de Buenos Aires (2013). Atualmente é visiting fellow (postdoc) - National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences . Tem experiência na área de Medicina Veterinária, com ênfase em Reprodução AnimalTeacher-researcher in Animal Physiology at the Department of Animal Production, Agronomy School, University of Buenos Aires, Argentina (2008-2015). Got my DVM-degree at the National University of Rio Cuarto (UNRC), Cordoba, Argentina, obtaining the highest Honor Mention. Received my Ph.D. in Animal Reproduction in Buenos Aires (Argentina) (2013), where I?ve developed new strategies for cloning and other biotechnologies in horses and others domestic mammals. During my PhD, we managed to produce the first viable equine clones in Latin America (2010) and the first births of show-jumping and Argentinian Polo horses (2013). In addition, I was part of the team that produced the first birth of a foal that was previously sexed by embryo biopsy in Argentina (2012). During my PhD, I presented more than 20 scientific papers in national and international conferences, being one of my works selected for oral presentation at the XI International Symposium on Equine Reproduction (ISER). Moreover, I managed to get the highest distinction in the INNOVATION Award organized by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Productive Innovation of Argentina. I have participated as a speaker in more than 10 conferences/seminars in the country and abroad. In 2013, 2014 and 2015 I conducted horse cloning research in conjunction with the Faculty of Engineering at Monash University in Melbourne, Goulburn Valley Equine Hospital and SARDI in Australia. Currently, I am a Postdoc at the NIEHS in NC, USA, continuing my work in animal reproduction.
