Maurício Bulhões Simon

Graduation (2014) Master's (2016) and Doctoral Degree (2021) in Geology from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ). Currently Geologist of the Municipality of Bento Gonçalves, RS, since 2022. Experience in Geosciences with an emphasis on Regional Geology, including geological mapping, structural geology, petrography, geochemistry and geochronology. Also has experience in Engineering Geology, acting on the following topics: Geotechnical behavior, clay, salinity limits Atterberg and soil. Currently works in research projects in the areas of geological and structural mapping, mineralogy, geochemistry, geochronology and petrology. Currently works in collaboration with researchers from USP, Unicamp, UFRGS, from Poitiers University and Nice University. Former Treasurer of the UFRJ SEG Student Chapter (2015).

Graduação (2014), Mestrado (2016) e Doutorado (2021) em Geologia pela Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro - UFRJ. Atualmente Geólogo da Prefeitura de Bento Gonçalves, RS, desde 2022. Experiência na área de Geociências, com ênfase em Geologia Regional, incluindo mapeamento geológico, geologia estrutural, petrografia, geoquímica e geocronologia. Também possui experiência em Geologia de Engenharia, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: comportamento geotécnico, argila, salinidade, limites de Atterberg e solo. Atua em projetos de pesquisa nas áreas de mapeamento geológico-estrutural, mineralogia, geoquímica, geocronologia e petrologia. Atua em colaboração com pesquisadores da USP, UNICAMP, UFRGS, Université de Poitiers e Université de Nice. Foi Tesoureiro da UFRJ SEG Student Chapter em 2015.
