Wellison Filgueiras Dutra

Graduado em Ciências Agrárias pela Universidade Estadual da Paraíba. Mestre em Ciências Agrárias pela Universidade Estadual da Paraíba / Embrapa Algodão, linha de pesquisa Agricultura Familiar e Sustentabilidade. Doutor em Agronomia (Agricultura Tropical) pela Universidade Federal da Paraíba, linha de pesquisa em Biotecnologia, Melhoramento e Proteção de Plantas Cultivadas. Durante a graduação foi bolsista de iniciação científica e membro do grupo de pesquisa do Setor Experimental e Laboratório de Ecofisiologia Vegetal. Integrou, ainda, o grupo de pesquisa do Laboratório de Ecofisiologia de Plantas Cultivadas (ECOLAB), durante o mestrado, e o grupo de pesquisa do Laboratório de Biotecnologia da Embrapa Algodão, durante o doutorado. Atualmente é professor substituto, lotado no Departamento de Agrárias e Exatas da UEPB, Campus IV, lecionando, entre outras disciplinas, Introdução a Ciência do Solo, Máquinas e Mecanização e Morfologia e Fisiologia Vegetal. Ao longo da vida acadêmica acumulou experiência nos seguintes tópicos: Relações hídricas no sistema solo-planta-atmosfera; Gestão da irrigação em fruteiras, oleaginosas e hortaliças; e Tolerância ao déficit hídrico, com ênfase em Fisiologia, Bioquímica, Produção e Melhoramento de plantas cultivadas no Semiárido brasileiro.

Graduated in Agricultural Sciences from State University of Paraíba. Master in Agricultural Sciences from State University of Paraíba / Embrapa Algodão, research line Family Farming and Sustainability. PhD in Agronomy (Tropical Agriculture) by the Federal University of Paraíba, research line Biotechnology, Improvement and Protection of Cultivated Plants. During the graduation he was a fellow of scientific initiation and research group member of the Experimental Sector and Laboratory of Plant Ecophysiology. He was also part of the research group of the Laboratory of Ecophysiology of Cultivated Plants (ECOLAB), during the master's degree, and the research group of the Biotechnology Laboratory of Embrapa Algodão, during his doctorate. He is currently a substitute professor in the Department of Agrarian and Exact Sciences at UEPB, Campus IV, teaching, among other subjects, Introduction to Soil Science, Soil Fertility, Machines and Mechanization and Plant Morphology and Physiology. Throughout his academic life he has accumulated experience in the following topics: Water relations in the soil-plant-atmosphere system; Management of irrigation in fruit plants, oilseeds and vegetables; and Tolerance to water deficit, with emphasis on Physiology, Biochemistry,Production, and Improvement of cultivated plants in the Brazilian Semiarid.
