Vítor Luiz Silva de Almeida

Doutor em História pelo Programa de Pós-Graduação em História Comparada na Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) . Atualmente é pós-doutorando no Museu de Arqueologia e Etnologia da Universidade de São Paulo (USP). Atua no campo da História Antiga e Arqueologia, com ênfase em Palestina Antiga, Judeia e Samaria na Antiguidade e Interações Culturais no Mediterrâneo Antigo. Durante o segundo semestre de 2017 fez parte do Programa de Bolsa-Sanduíche da Capes na Universidade de Leiden - Holanda, sob a supervisão do Professor Jürgen Zangenberg. É membro do Laboratório de Arqueologia Romana Provincial (MAE-USP). É colaborador e membro do Laboratório de História das Experiências Religiosas (LHER -UFRJ). É membro da Société d'Études Samaritaines (Society for Samaritan Studies) atualmente presidida pelo Professor Doutor Stefan Schorch.

PhD in History by the Graduate Program in Comparative History at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) . He is currently a postdoctoral fellow at the Museum of Archeology and Ethnology at the University of São Paulo (USP). He works in the field of Ancient History and Archaeology, with an emphasis on Ancient Palestine, Judea and Samaria in Antiquity, and Cultural Interactions in the Ancient Mediterranean. During the second half of 2017 he was part of the Capes Sandwich Scholarship Program at the University of Leiden-Holland, under the supervision of Professor Jürgen Zangenberg. He is a member of the Provincial Roman Archeology Laboratory (MAE-USP). He is a collaborator and member of the Laboratory for the History of Religious Experiences (LHER -UFRJ). He is a member of the Société d'Études Samaritaines (Society for Samaritan Studies) currently chaired by Professor Doctor Stefan Schorch.
