Otávio Guimarães Tavares

Professor in the Institute of Language and Communication and of the College of Modern Foreign Langauges (FALEM) in Brazil?s Federal University of Pará (UFPA). Was the Vice Director of the College of Modern Foreign Langauges (FALEM) from 2019 to 2021.Obtained his doctorate degree in Literature and master?s in literary theory at the Federal University of Santa Catarina. Obtained his undergraduate degree in English Language and Literature at Federal University of Santa Catarina. Is the leader of the NELAA - Research Group in Anglophone Arts and Literature, and is a member of NuPILL ? Research Group in Informatics Literature and Linguistics. Has published works on literature, focusing on literary theory, digital literature, aesthetics and philosophy of art, poetry, and English language literature.

Professor no Instituto de Letras e Comunicação (ILC) e da Faculdade de Letras Estrangeiras Modernas (FALEM) da Universidade Federal do Pará (UFPA). Bacharel em Letras - Língua Inglesa e Literaturas (2008) pela Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (UFSC). É líder do grupo de pesquisa NELAA - Núcleo de Estudos em Literaturas e Artes Anglófonas. É membro do Núcleo de Pesquisa em Informática, Literatura e Linguística (NuPILL/UFSC) desde 2005. Atua nas áreas de Teoria Literária, Literatura de Língua Inglesa, Estética e Filosofia da arte, Poesia, Literatura Digital e Literaturas Experimentais.
