Ayru Leal de Oliveira Filho

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the Federal University of Juiz de Fora (1987), Master's degree in Systems and Computing from the Military Institute of Engineering - IME (1990), and D.Sc in Systems and Computing Engineering from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro - UFRJ (2000). Currently, holds the position of Senior Researcher IV at the Electric Power Research Center (CEPEL) and where also serves as the Head of the Systems Automation Department. His expertise lies within the field of Electrical Engineering, with a focus on Automation, Monitoring, Control, and Protection of Electric Power Systems. His primary research areas encompass supervision and control, Automation, Energy Management Systems, SCADA Systems, and distributed computing.

Possui graduação em Engenharia Elétrica pela Universidade Federal de Juiz de Fora (1987), mestrado em Sistemas e Computação pelo Instituto Militar de Engenharia (1990) e doutorado em Engenharia de Sistemas e Computação pela Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (2000). Atualmente é pesquisador IV do Centro de Pesquisas de Energia Elétrica e ocupa o cargo de chefe do Departamento de Automação de Sistemas do CEPEL. Tem experiência na área de Engenharia Elétrica, com ênfase em Automação, Monitoramento, Controle e Proteção de Sistemas Elétricos de Potência, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: supervisão e controle, Automação, Sistemas de Gerenciamento de Energia, Sistemas SCADA e computação distribuída.
