João Vitor Tossini

Doctoral student and Master in International Relations at the Postgraduate Program in International Relations San Tiago Dantas (UNESP/UNICAMP/PUC-SP). Bachelor in International Relations at Universidade Estadual Paulista (UNESP). Between 2017 and 2018, he was a researcher in Scientific Initiation with FAPESP research scholarship on the United Kingdom's military presence in the South Atlantic and the consequences for regional Security and Defence projects. During his master?s degree (2019-2021), he had a second FAPESP scholarship. In 2022 he received his third FAPESP scholarship for his PhD thesis on the United Kingdom's relative decline. He works in the area of Political Science, focusing on International Policy, Security and Defence. Since January 2017, he has regularly contributed to the UK Defence Journal with analyses concerning the United Kingdom Defence Policy and international reach.

Doutorando e Mestre em Relações Internacionais no Programa de Pós-Graduação em Relações Internacionais San Tiago Dantas (UNESP/UNICAMP/PUC-SP). Bacharel em Relações Internacionais pela Universidade Estadual Paulista, Júlio de Mesquita Filho, campus de Franca. Foi pesquisador em Iniciação Científica, com pesquisa FAPESP sobre a presença militar do Reino Unido no Atlântico Sul e as consequências para os projetos regionais de Segurança e Defesa entre 2017 e 2018. No mestrado e doutorado foi contemplado com bolsas FAPESP, avançando com os estudos sobre o Declínio Relativo, a Política Externa e a Geoestratégia do Reino Unido no Atlântico Sul e no Indo-Pacífico. Atua na área de Ciência Política, com foco em Política Internacional e Segurança e Defesa. Desde Janeiro de 2017 contribui regularmente para o jornal de defesa britânico 'UK Defence Journal', com análises concernindo aspectos militares e diplomáticos da projeção ultramarina do Reino Unido na atualidade.
