André Salim Khayat

He holds a bachelor's degree in Biology - Medical Modification from the Federal University of Pará (1997), a Master's Degree in Biological Sciences from the Federal University of Pará (2001) and a PhD in Genetics and Molecular Biology from the Federal University of Pará (2007). He is currently Coordinator of the Graduate Program in Oncology and Medical Sciences at UFPA, Associate Professor at the Institute of Biological Sciences at UFPA, Permanent Member of the Graduate Program in Genetics and Molecular Biology at UFPA, Co-founder and Permanent Member of the Program of Post-graduation in Oncology and Medical Sciences of UFPA, Member of the Research Ethics Committee of the NPO / UFPA. Professor-researcher of the Nucleus of Oncology Research Unit of High Complexity in Oncology - UNACON. He has experience in the field of Genetics, with emphasis on Human and Medical Genetics, working mainly on the following topics: carcinogenesis, human cytogenetics, mutagenesis, genetics, cell biology, molecular biology and molecular cytogenetics. Alternate Curator of the Science and Technology Park of Guamá. Member of the University Superior Council of UFPA. Member of the Teaching, Research and Extension Board of UFPA.

Possui graduação em Bacharelado em Biologia - Mod. Médica pela Universidade Federal do Pará (1997), mestrado em Ciências Biológicas pela Universidade Federal do Pará (2001) e doutorado em Genética e Biologia Molecular pela Universidade Federal do Pará (2007). Atualmente é Coordenador do Programa de Pós-graduação em Oncologia e Ciências Médicas da UFPA, Professor Associado do Instituto de Ciências Biológicas da UFPA, Membro Permanente do Programa de Pós-graduação em Genética e Biologia Molecular da UFPA, Co-fundador e Membro Permanente do Programa de Pós-graduação em Oncologia e Ciências Médicas da UFPA, Membro do Comitê de Ética em Pesquisa do NPO/UFPA. Professor-pesquisador do Núcleo de Pesquisa em Oncologia da Unidade de Alta Complexidade em Oncologia - UNACON. Tem experiência na área de Genética, com ênfase em Genética Humana e Médica, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: carcinogênese, citogenética humana, mutagênese, genética, biologia celular, biologia molecular e citogenética molecular. Curador Suplente do Parque de Ciência e Tecnologia do Guamá. Membro do Conselho Superior Universitário da UFPA. Membro do Conselho de Ensino, Pesquisa e extensão da UFPA.
