Nikta Shayanfar
Nikta Shayanfar received her B.Sc. degree in Applied Mathematics in 2005, ranked first among all B.Sc. students in Department of Mathematics, Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, Iran, with GPA 17.11/20. Moreover, she was ranked among the top 2% of the M.Sc. National University Entrance Examination of Mathematics. She got M.Sc. degree in Applied mathematics, from K.N. Toosi University of Technology, Iran in 2007, ranked second, with GPA 18.61/20. Then, she was admitted to the Ph.D. program in Applied Mathematics at K.N. Toosi University of Technology, and graduated as the distinguished Ph.D. student with GPA 19.28/20.Currently, she has a visiting scholar position at Department of Mathematics, University of Carlos III, Madrid under the supervision of Professor Francisco Marcellan. Her research interests include Orthogonal Polynomials, Special Functions, Complex Analysis, Approximation Theory and Numerical Analysis.
