Max Brenner

Max Brenner obtained his medical degree from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS) in 1996. After completing his residency in Internal Medicine as chief resident and a fellowship in Rheumatology, both at the Hospital de Clinicas de Porto Alegre, Dr. Brenner obtained a PhD in Molecular Medicine at the Elmezzi (previously North Shore - LIJ) Graduate School of Molecular Medicine in 2006. Dr. Brenner is currently the recipient of an Arthritis Foundation postdoctoral fellowship award. His areas of expertise are genetics and immunology with focus on rheumatoid arthritis and experimental models of autoimmune arthritis.
