Matheus Mauri Frascareli Bento

Master in Entomology from the National Institute of Amazonian Researches (INPA, Manaus, Brazil), with graduation degree in Biological Sciences from the Sacred Heart University (USC, Bauru, Brazil). I am currently a Ph.D student at the National Institute of Amazonian Researches, with a period of Sanduich doctorate at the Natural History Museum Wien, Vienna, Austria, financed by the Sanduich Doctorate Abroad Program (PDSE - CAPES, Brazil). I work in Entomology with an emphasis on the Taxonomy and Phylogeny of Rutelinae (Coleoptera: Scarabaeoidea), Laemophloeidae, Silvanidae, Passandridae and Cucujidae (Coleoptera, Cucujoidea), also maintaining interest in the following contents: digitization and curation of entomological collections; insect morphology and identification; and systematics of Coleoptera (Insecta).

Mestre em Entomologia pelo Instituto Nacional de Pesquisas da Amazônia (INPA), com graduação em Ciências Biológicas pela Universidade do Sagrado Coração (Bauru, SP). Atualmente sou aluno de Doutorado do PPG-Entomologia do Instituto Nacional de Pesquisas da Amazônia (INPA), com período de doutorado sanduíche no Museu de História Natural de Viena, Áustria, financiado pelo Programa de Doutorado Sanduíche no Exterior (PDSE - CAPES, Brasil). Atuo na Entomologia com ênfase em Taxonomia e Filogenia de Rutelinae (Coleoptera: Scarabaeoidea), Laemophloeidae, Silvanidae, Passandridae e Cucujidae (Coleoptera, Cucujoidea), mantendo também interesse nos seguintes conteúdos: digitalização e curadoria de coleções entomológicas; morfologia e identificação de insetos; e sistemática de Coleoptera (Insecta).
