José Antonio Campos Delgado
Graduate degree in Chemistry from the University of Havana (2015) and Academic Master's degree in Chemistry from Federal University of
São Carlos (2018). Has experience in Chemistry, focusing on Organic Synthesis
José A. C. Delgado received his B.Sc. in Chemistry from the University of Havana (Cuba) under the supervision of Profa. Hilda E. Garay Pérez (Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology, Havana, Cuba) on the synthesis of chemically modified peptides derived from Interleukin-15 protein. In 2018, Mr. Delgado was awarded with his M.Sc. degree under the supervision of Prof. Márcio W. Paixão at the Federal University of São Carlos-UFSCar (Brazil) on the multicomponent combinatorial synthesis of prolyl peptide-lipopeptoid hybrid catalysts and their applications. Mr. José Delgado is currently a Ph.D. student under the supervision of Prof. Márcio W. Paixão at the Federal University of São Carlos, with his defense scheduled for the year of 2023. In 2021 he was a visiting PhD student, for a one-year period, at the research group of Prof. Burkhard König at the University of Regensburg (Germany). Mr. Delgado did work on the development of photocatalytic orthogonal arylations of peptides under solid-phase conditions. During his Ph.D. his research interest was focused on developing new photocatalytic protocols for amino acid and peptide modifications.
