Alessandro Gonçalves Girardi

holds a degree in electrical engineering from the Federal University of Santa Maria (2000), a master's degree in computer science from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (2002) and PhD in microelectronics from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (2007). In 2018, he was a visiting researcher at the Technical University of Munich (TUM) in Munich, Germany. Currently, he is an associate professor at the Federal University of Pampa-UNIPAMPA at the Alegrete Campus. He was Head of the Alegrete Campus from 2012 to 2015 and Dean of Research, Graduate Studies and Innovation at UNIPAMPA from 2016 to 2017. In 2019, he co-founded the start-up Muv Tecnologia, a spin-off of the Computer Architecture and Microelectronics Research Group (GAMA), of which he is leader. Since 2010, he has been a permanent lecturer in the Graduate Program in Electrical Engineering at UNIPAMPA. He has experience in electrical engineering with a focus on microelectronics and works mainly on the following topics: analog integrated circuits, energy harvesting for IoT, CAD tools, optimization, automatic synthesis and ASIPs. He is a member of the Brazilian Microelectronics Society, the Brazilian Computer Society and the IEEE Circuits and Systems Society. As a member of the team that created the Pampa Science and Technology Park (PampaTec) at UNIPAMPA Alegrete campus, he is also committed to promoting technological innovation in the Pampa region of Rio Grande do Sul. In 2018, he mentored the UNIPAMPA team that won the World Championship in the IEEE CASS Student Design Competition in Florence, Italy.

possui graduação em Engenharia Elétrica pela Universidade Federal de Santa Maria (2000), mestrado em Ciência da Computação pela Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (2002) e doutorado em Microeletrônica pela Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (2007). Em 2018 atuou como pesquisador visitante na Technische Universität München (TUM), em Munique, Alemanha. Atualmente é Professor Associado da Universidade Federal do Pampa - UNIPAMPA, no Campus Alegrete. Foi Diretor do campus Alegrete de 2012 a 2015 e Pró-Reitor de Pesquisa, Pós-Graduação e Inovação da UNIPAMPA de 2016 a 2017. Em 2019 auxiliou na fundação da startup Muv Tecnologia, spin-off do Grupo de Pesquisa em Arquitetura de Computadores e Microeletrônica (GAMA), do qual é líder. Atua como docente permanente do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Engenharia Elétrica da UNIPAMPA desde 2010. Tem experiência na área de Engenharia Elétrica, com ênfase em Microeletrônica, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: circuitos integrados analógicos, energy harvesting para IoT, ferramentas de CAD, otimização, síntese automática e ASIPs. Membro da Sociedade Brasileira de Microeletrônica, Sociedade Brasileira de Computação e da IEEE Circuits and Systems Society. Atua também na promoção da inovação tecnológica na região do Pampa gaúcho, participando da equipe de instalação do Parque Científico e Tecnológico do Pampa (PampaTec) junto ao campus Alegrete da UNIPAMPA e do Conselho Municipal de Inovação de Alegrete. Em 2018 foi tutor da equipe da UNIPAMPA que conquistou o título mundial da IEEE CASS Student Design Competition, em Florença, Itália.
