Mechanical engineer graduated from the Federal University of the state of Pará (UFPA), Brazil. The PhD was obtained from the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP), São Paulo, Brazil, by researching about the wear behaviour of casting aluminium alloys used as bearing materials (Al-Sn and Al-Si). The postdoctoral fellowship was developed at the Institut de Matériaux, Microélectronique et Nanosciences de Provence (IM2NP-MCA), Marseille, France, with the study about the control and the influence of the natural conveccion on the solidification structures of aluminium alloys directionally solidified by Bridgman technique. The professional experience focuses on heat treatment for aluminium alloys, characterization of casting structures and wear resstance of casting alloys.
