Bruno Motta de Carvalho

Bruno earned a B.Sc. in Computer Science from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (1991), a M.Sc. in Computer Science from the Federal University of Pernambuco (1995) and a Ph.D. in Computer and Information Science from the University of Pennsylvania (2003). He has extensive experience teaching varied courses in Computer Science, while his research interests are more focused on theories and applicartions in Visual Computing, such as image reconstruction, image segmentation and object classification. He is currently involved in the development of solutions for biological, medical and geological applications.

Possui graduação em Bacharelado em Ciências da Computação pela Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte (1991), mestrado em Ciências da Computação pela Universidade Federal de Pernambuco (1995) e doutorado em Computer and Information Science - University of Pennsylvania (2003). Atualmente é professor adjunto i da Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte. Tem experiência na área de Ciência da Computação, com ênfase em Processamento Gráfico (Graphics), atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: fuzzy segmentation, segmentação fuzzy, visão computacional, algebraic reconstruction techniques e m-segmentation.
