Thomas William Holesgrove

Atualmente realiza um projeto de pesquisa de Pós-Doutorado em Artes Cênicas, pela USP-ECA/CAC. Doutor (2014) e Mestre (2009) em Artes Cênicas pela USP-ECA/CAC. Formado em interpretação teatral pela Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (1998). Também possui graduação em Artes e em Direito pela Australian National University (1995). Diretor de cena, dramaturgo e educador de teatro na Fábrica de Cultura, Vila Nova Cachoerinha, sob a gestão de Poiesis Organização Social de Cultura. Foi um dos fundadores da companhia de teatro, Arte Tangível, onde trabalha como pesquisador e educador de corpo-voz, diretor, dramaturgo e ator. Tem experiência na área de Artes, com ênfase em Teatro, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: poéticas do gesto e da palavra, técnicas de corpo-voz, atuação e performance, e pedagogia do teatro.

Thomas Holesgrove is currently doing post-doctorate research at the School of Dramatic Arts, USP ? ECA/CAC (the University of São Paulo ? School of Communications and Arts / Dramatic Arts Centre). He is a Doctor (2014) and a Master (2009) of Dramatic Arts, USP ? ECA/CAC. He has a graduate diploma in Theatre/Acting from WAAPA (the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts) (1998) and is a Bachelor of Arts/Law, ANU (Australian National University) (1995). He is a playwright, theatre director and theatre teacher at the Fábrica de Cultura, Vila Nova Cachoeirinha, under the administration of Poiesis Organização Social de Cultura. He was a founding member of the theatre group, Arte Tangível, where he currently works as a researcher and teacher of body-voice technique, director, dramaturg and actor. He has experience in the area of arts with emphasis in theatre, working principally with the following themes: poetics of gesture and word, body-voice techniques, acting and performance, and theatre pedagogy.
