Giselle Beiguelman

Giselle Beiguelman investigates the aesthetics of memory and develops projects of artistic interventions in the public space and with digital media. She is Associate Professor at the Department of Architecture History and Aesthetics of the Project at the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism ? University of São Paulo (FAUUSP). Beiguelman is the author of several books and articles on the contemporary nomadism and the practices of digital culture. She was the Head of FAUUSP?s Design Course from 2013 to 2015, where she has been teaching since 2011. Among her recent projects are Memories of Amnesia (2015), How heavy is a cloud? (2016) and the curatorship of Arquinterface: the city expanded by the networks. She is a member of the Laboratory for OTHER Urbanisms (FAUUSP) and the Interdisciplinary Laboratory Image Knowledge ? Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. She is the author of several books and articles on art and digital culture, and her artworks are in museum collections of Brazil and abroad, such as ZKM (Germany), the Latin American collection of the University of Essex, MAC-USP and MAR (Museu de Arte do Rio de Janeiro), among others.

Giselle Beiguelman é artista e professora Livre-Docente da Faculdade de Arquitetura e Urbanismo da Universidade de São Paulo (FAU-USP). Pesquisa preservação de arte digital, arte e ativismo na cidade em rede e as estéticas da memória no século 21. Desenvolve projetos de intervenções artísticas no espaço público e com mídias digitais. É autora de vários livros e artigos sobre o nomadismo contemporâneo e as práticas da cultura digital. Foi coordenadora do curso de Design da FAUUSP de 2013 a 2015, onde leciona desde 2011. Entre seus projetos recentes destacam-se Memória da Amnésia (2015), Odiolândia (2017) e Monumento Nenhum (2019). É membro do Laboratório para OUTROS Urbanismos (FAUUSP) e do Interdisciplinary Laboratory Image Knowledge ? Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. Suas obras artísticas integram acervos de museus no Brasil e no exterior, como ZKM (Alemanha), MAC-USP e MAR (Rio de Janeiro), entre outros. Entre outros prêmios recebeu o Prêmio ABCA (Associação Brasileira dos Críticos de Arte) 2016, categoria Destaque e o Prêmio Sergio Motta de Arte e Tecnologia em 2003. Em 2014, integrou o grupo de 10 net artistas internacionais convidados pelo The Webby Awards para participar da exposição comemorativa dos 25 anos da WWW (The Web at 25).
