Luiz Maurício Gonçalves Neto

Luiz Maurício Goncalves Neto obtained his Ph.D. degree in 2016 in Material Science and Technology from the São Paulo State University (UNESP) and has Bachelor?s and Master?s degree in Mechanical Engineering. He is currently working as specialist in different fields of Manufacturing Processes and Technology of Abrasive Machining, with emphasis on manufacturing process optimization, metal machining monitoring and simulation focusing in increase throughput, improve quality, reduce costs, and enhance safety. After working during 15 years as specialist in the Automobile industry, he gained valuable experiences on the Department of Research and Development of Manufacturing Technology and also as Manufacturing Engineer, coordinating manufacturing process optimization projects, development and implementations manufacturing processes, technology transfer, equipment upgrades, startups, as well as defining specifications for new Equipments. At his 3 years? experience as a docent at the School engineer (FACENS) in São Paulo/Brazil, he taught both Fluids Mechanic and Hydraulic Machines disciplines, supervised students with scientific research in different fields of mechanical engineering and also coordinated the project SAE-Aerodesign "Unmanned Aerial Vehicles". He is Six-Sigma Black Belt, scientific article reviewer, holds patent applied to grinding technology, developed parameters software?s for different grinding processes and he is main author of several articles published in the field of engineering.
