Doutora em Geografia (Dr. rer. nat) pela Universidade de Bonn, Alemanha (2018), com pós doutoramento no grupo Hydrology and Water Resources. Atualmente é líder de grupo no Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research, Alemanha. Possui graduação em Engenharia Ambiental (2011) e mestrado em Engenharia Civil (2014). Atua cientificamente na área de gestão de risco de desastres, com ênfase a análise dos impactos de secas e inundacoes. Outros interesses incluem: text mining, análise multicritério, percepção de risco, e métodos inter-e-transdisciplinares. Recebeu mais de 12 prêmios e scholarships de diversas agências de fomento, incluindo o Early Career Scientist Award pela União Europeia de Geociências (EGU) em 2016.

She is currently a post-doctoral researcher at the Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research, Germany. She has a degree in Environmental Engineering (2011) and a Master in Civil Engineering (2014). She is scientifically active in the area of disaster risk management, with emphasis on participatory mapping of susceptibility, vulnerability and risk to slipping, flooding and drought. Other interests include: text mining, multi-criteria analysis, risk perception, and inter- and trans-disciplinary methods. It has received more than 12 awards and scholarships from various funding agencies, including the Early Career Scientist Award from the European Union of Geosciences (EGU) in 2016.
