José Daniel Craidy Simões is an urbanist architect and photographer. Latu Sensu Specialist in Expertise and Asset Valuation from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul (PUCRS). He is an alternate counselor of the Architecture and Urbanism Council of Rio Grande do Sul-CAU-RS, where he is a member of the Cultural Heritage Commission of CAU-RS. Master's and doctoral student in urban and regional planning at the Graduate Program in Urban and Regional Planning at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul - PROPUR/UFRGS. He is also part of the gaucho nucleus of the International Council of Monuments and Sites-ICOMOS Brasil and of the Municipal Council of Cultural Historic Heritage of Porto Alegre-COMPAHC, represented the Instituto Histórico e Geográfico do Rio Grande do Sul - IHGRGS.

É conselheiro suplente do Conselho de Arquitetura e Urbanismo do Rio Grande do Sul - CAU-RS, onde integra a Comissão do Patrimônio Cultural do CAU-RS. Mestre e doutorando em planejamento urbano e regional no Programa de Pós Graduação em Planejamento Urbano e Regional da Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul - PROPUR/UFRGS. Também integra o núcleo gaúcho do International Council of Monuments and Sites - ICOMOS Brasil e o Conselho Municipal do Patrimônio Histórico Cultural de Porto Alegre - COMPAHC, representado o Instituto Histórico e Geográfico do Rio Grande do Sul - IHGRGS.
