Karla Kwiatkowski Lepetitgaland

Karla Kwiatkowski Lepetitgaland has more than 20 years of professional experience in the Brazilian electric sector, mostly in public policy management and administration in the area of energy sustainability. Ms.Lepetitgaland has worked with World Bank-funded projects and institutional relations to develop national and international strategic partnerships and cooperation agreements, including interactions with U.S.DOE/EPA, Mercosul, and others. Currently, she is a Senior Project Manager in the New Business Development Department at Eletronuclear working in the efforts to conclude the Angra 3 Nuclear Power Plant, specifically in the management of contracts related to the financial, economic and legal aspects of the project as well as engaging with key potential global investors and government stakeholders. She also coordinates the company's R&D and innovation programs. In addition, she has been nominated to represent Eletronuclear in various strategic initiatives with key stakeholders in the sector such as Eletrobras, ABDAN and the local governments. She is active and engaged in organizations that focus on sustainability and involvement of youth and women in sciences and technology, such as STEM for Girls and Women in Nuclear. She is Chair of the 2019 ENIN (Nuclear Industry Meeting of the INAC conference) and part of World Nuclear University Brazilian organizing committee. Karla has a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from UFF, a Master's degree in Industrial Engineering from COPPE/UFRJ, and post-graduated in Energy Engineering from Unifei/MG.

Karla Kwiatkowski Lepetitgaland tem mais de 20 anos de experiência no setor elétrico brasileiro, maior parte em gestão de políticas públicas na área de sustentabilidade energética, notadamente eficiência energética. Destaca-se sua atuação em projetos com recursos do Banco Mundial, bem como relações institucionais para desenvolvimento de parcerias estratégicas e acordos de cooperação, nacionais e internacionais, interagindo com o U.S.DOE/EPA e Mercosul, entre outros. Atualmente trabalha no Departamento de Novos Empreendimentos da Eletronuclear, diretamente no projeto de conclusão da Central Nuclear Angra 3, na coordenação de trabalhos focados na modelagem e viabilidade econômico-financeira e jurídica do empreendimento, bem como nas relações institucionais com potenciais investidores globais e órgãos do governo. Coordena as ações de P&D e inovação da empresa. Além disso, representa a Eletronuclear junto à entidades que esta integra ou apoia, como a Eletrobras, ABDAN, ABEN, Município de Angra dos Reis, Sebrae, entre outros. Ativa em organizações voltadas para comunicação sobre sustentabilidade e incentivo à inclusão de jovens e mulheres na ciência, é Chair do ENIN 2019 (Encontro da Indústria Nuclear) do INAC e membro do comitê brasileiro de organização da WNU. Karla é graduada em Administração pela UFF, e é Mestre em Engenharia de Produção pela COPPE/UFRJ, e pós-graduada em Engenharia da Energia pela Unifei/MG. Em 2020 ingressa no doutorado no programa de pós graduacao em políticas públicas do Instituto de economia da UFRJ.
