Felipe Rocha da Rosa
Felipe was born in Porto Alegre in the southernmost Brazilian state, Rio Grande do Sul. Currently, he is a Ph.D. candidate in microelectronics at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), one of best universities in Latin America ([1], [2]).In the year 2015, he was accepted to a one-year exchange at the University of Leicester at the post-graduate level (Engineering Departement), where he researched the reliability of many-core embedded systems using virtual platforms. Additionally, during this period he worked as Software Engineer at Imperas Software Ltd incorporating performance estimation tools in the commercial engine. He received a bachelor's degree in Computer Engineeringfrom theFederal University of Rio Grande do Sul since 2014. In 2012 during his studies, heparticipated in the student exchange program BRAFITEC, moving to Montpellier, France. This program consists of a full year coursing the Microelectronic and Automation (MEA) specialization at the école polytechniqueuniversitaire d'ingénieurs de Montpellier. Simultaneously, initiating a research project to explore instruction-accurate simulators precision and performance under the supervision of Dr. Luciano Ost at the Laboratoire d'Informatique, de Robotique et de Microélectronique de Montpellier (LIRMM). I had been a member of IEEE Circuits and Systems Society (CASS Region 9, Chapter RS) since 2013 serving as a volunteer member in the IEEE CASS Chapter and Student Branch in several positions. The CASS chapter develops several activities to promoted CAS-related topics such as conferences, forums, workshops, and talks. The chapter has own several times the IEEE CASS Chapter of the Year Awardand Region 9 Chapter of the Year Awardwhich recognizes the Chapter with the very best yearly activities.Areas of research interest include Multiprocessor System-on-Chip (MPSoC) reliability, system modeling, system powerand temporal analysis, virtualization, and embedded operating systems.More information www.frdarosa.com
