Associate Professor at the Federal University of Ceará(UFC) , has developed post-doctoral studies at TU-Berlin's Zentrum Technik und Gesellschaft (ZTG) (Feb.2016-Jan.2017). José Carlos has his PhD in Environmental Planning by Technische Universität-Berlin (Germany), at the Institut für Management in der Umweltplanung (2005). In 2000 he holds a Master's degree in Management in S T Management from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (2000). He teachs in the graduate and undergraduate course, and develops researches in the areas of Sustainable Innovations, Social Innovation, Innovation Management, Fair Trade, Green Supply Chain, Logistics and Sustainability. He also coordinated the Postgraduate Program in Administration and Controllership - Professional (PPAC-Prof) 2014 / 2015, and the undergradute course im Management in 2013. He was the local Coordinator at the DAAD's UNIBRAL 1 Project (2012-2015) between DA-FEAAC-UFC and SIB-HS-Bremen, and still as the contact person in the DAAD ISAP Project. Leader of the INOS (UFC) research group in Sustainable and Social Innovation.

Professor Associado da Universidade Federal do Ceará, desenvolveu estudos de Pos-Doutorado no Zentrum Technik und Gesellschaft (ZTG) da TU-Berlin (Fev.2016-Jan.2017), é Doutor pela Technische Universität-Berlin (Alemanha), no Institut für Management in der Umweltplanung (2005), possui mestrado em Administração na área de Gestão de CT pelo PPGA da Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (2000). Atua na pós graduação onde desenvolve pesquisas nas áreas de Innovation Studies, Inovação Social, Empreendedorismo Social, Ecossistema de Inovação e desde 2021 pesquisa sobre Gestão e Política Cultural focando em Indicadores Culturais e Ecossistemas Culturais. Vice- Coordenador da PPAC(Ago.2023) , já coordenou o Programa da Pós-Graduação em Administração e Controladoria - Profissional (PPAC-Prof) 2014/2015. Coordenou o Projeto UNIBRAL 1 , CAPES-DAAD(2012-2015) entre o DA-FEAAC-UFC e a SIB-HS-Bremen, Alemanha. Coordenou o Projeto PROBRAL CAPES DAAD de intercambio de Pesquisa entre o PPAC/FEAC, PPGA UNIFOR e ZTG/TU-Berlin, Alemanha (2018-2019). Lider do grupo de pesquisa INOS (UFC). Desde 2021, Pesquisador do Projeto Cientista Chefe da Cultura (FUNCAP/Secult-CE).
