Dayana Melo Torres

Doutora em Engenharia Ambiental, Mestre em Engenharia Sanitária e Ambiental, Engenheira Ambiental, Tecnóloga em Gestão Ambiental e Bióloga. É professora do Instituto Federal de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia do Rio Grande do Norte, Campus Natal Central, onde também desempenha as funções de coordenadora do curso de Engenharia Sanitária e Ambiental e líder da Linha de Pesquisa em Saneamento Ambiental do Programa de Pós-graduação em Uso Sustentável dos Recursos Naturais. Desenvolve pesquisas com ênfase em Engenharia Sanitária e Ambiental, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: saneamento ambiental, tratamento e reúso de águas, efluentes e lodos, tecnologias sociais aplicadas ao saneamento, poluição e controle ambiental e microbiologia ambiental.

PhD in Environmental Engineering, Master in Sanitary and Environmental Engineering, Environmental Engineer, Technologist in Environmental Management and Biologist. She is a professor at the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Rio Grande do Norte, Campus Natal Central, where she also coordinates the Sanitary and Environmental Engineering course and leader of the Research Line in Environmental Sanitation of the Graduate Program in Sustainable Use of Natural Resources. Developed research with an emphasis on Sanitary and Environmental Engineering, presented mainly on the following topics: environmental sanitation, treatment and reuse of water, effluents and sludge, social technologies applied to sanitation, fuel and environmental control and environmental microbiology.
