Bachelor's at Civil Engineering from Military Institute of Engineering (1993), Master degree at Civil Engineering-Geotechnics from Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (1999), doctorate at Civil Engineering-Geotechnics from Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (2005) and pos-doctorate at Civil Engineering-Geotechnics from Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (2016) under the supervision of Prof. Marcio Almeida. Visiting Researcher at University of Western Australia (2001), under the supervision of Prof. Mark Randolph, and visiting researcher at University of Cambridge/UK (2002) under the supervision of Prof. Malcolm Bolton. Geotechnical Engineering Professor at the Military Institute of Engineering from 2004 to 2011 and Coordinator of the Transportation Engineering Graduate Program from 2007 to 2010. Nowadays is an Engineer Auditor at the Auditing Court of Rio de Janeiro and colaborate researcher at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro and State University of Maringá. Has experience in Civil Engineering, focusing on Geotechnical Engineering, acting on the following subjects: embankment on soft soils, physical modelling in geotechnical centrifuge, pipeline geotechnics, soil-structure interaction and pavements.
Graduação em Engenharia de Fortificação e Construção pelo Instituto Militar de Engenharia (1993), Mestrado em Engenharia Civil-Geotecnia pela Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (1999), Doutorado em Engenharia Civil-Geotecnia pela Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (2005), Pós-Doutorado em Engenharia Civil-Geotecnia pela Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (2016) sob supervisão do Prof. Márcio Almeida. Professor do Instituto Militar de Engenharia entre 2004 e 2011 em disciplinas relacionadas a Geotecnia onde também foi coordenador do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Engenharia de Transportes entre 2007 e 2010. Atualmente é Engenheiro Auditor do Tribunal de Contas do Município do Rio de Janeiro e Pesquisador Colaborador da Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro e da Universidade Estadual de Maringá. Tem experiência na área de Engenharia Civil, com ênfase em Geotecnia, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: Aterros sobre Solos Moles, Fundações, Modelagem Física em Centrífuga Geotécnica, Geotecnia de Dutos, Interação Solo-Estrutura e Pavimentação.
