Marcos Ricardo de Oliveira Jaeger

Dr. Marcos Jaeger é médico, professor e pesquisador na área da saúde, graduado pela Universidade Federal de Ciências da Saúde de Porto Alegre (1993), com especialização em Cirurgia Geral (1995) e Cirurgia Plástica Estética e Reparadora (1998), Nivelamento para a Docência e Pesquisa (2001), Fellowship em Cirurgia Plástica Infantil (2003), Doutorado em Medicina e Ciências da Saúde (2007) e Pós-Doutorado em Cirurgia Translacional (2016). Pesquisa nas áreas de regeneração nervosa, regeneração cutânea, trofismo muscular, anomalias da face e materiais aloplásticos. Recebeu o título Cirujano Distinguido da Federação Iberolatinoamericana de Cirurgia Plástica (IPRAS) e o Prêmio Ivo Pitanguy da Sociedade Brasileira de Cirurgia Plástica (SBCP). É autor dos livros "Anatomia Cirúrgica da Cabeça e do Pescoço"(ISSN/ISBN 9788580530520), "Técnica Ilustrada em Microcirurgia" (ISBN 978-85-8053-096-4) e "Anatomia Quirurgica de Cabeza Y Cuello" (ISBN 9789588771021). Desde 2015, é Professor Adjunto na Escola de Ciências e na Escola de Medicina da Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul, atuando nas Disciplinas de Anatomia Humana, Pesquisa Científica, Clínica Cirúrgica, Seminários Integrados e Tecnica Operatória. É professor coordenador de grupo de extensão em pesquisa acadêmica e coordenador docente da Liga de Cirurgia Plástica.

Marcos, Jaeger, MD, PhD, is a plastic surgeon in Porto Alegre, Brasil. His interests include teaching, research and treatment of acquired and congenital disorders, specially in the field of reconstructive surgery and microsurgery, hand surgery, paediatric plastic surgery and aesthetic plastic surgery. Dr. Jaeger has collaborated with many studies in his field, but is devoted to the surgical anatomy and muscle and nerve regeneration as far as for congenital disorders. He received his MD degree in 1993 from Fundacão Faculdade Federal de Ciências Médicas de Porto Alegre (FFFCMPA) with part of his training at the University of Miami in the US. From 1994- 1998, pursued a two-year position in General Surgery Residency Program and a three-year position in Plastic Surgery Program (Brazil). From 2002 - 2003, Dr. Jaeger was accepted for a Clinical Research Fellowship in Pediatric Plastic Surgery at the University of Toronto in Canada. In 2009, received the PhD degree in Medical Sciences from Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul (PUCRS), and from 2014- 2016 concluded the post-doctorate studies in muscle trophysm. Marcos Jaeger is a member of the following medical societies: the Brazilian Society of Plastic Surgery (SBCP), the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), the International Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS), the Ibero Latin American Federation of Plastic Surgery and Reconstructive Surgery (IPRAS), the Brazilian Society of Reconstructive Microsurgery (SBMR), and the American Society for Reconstructive Microsurgery (ASRM). Since 2015, works as Adjunct Professor and of the Discipline of of Anatomy (Regent) and Surgery (Plastic Surgery) at Pontificia Universidade Catolica do Rio Grande do Sul (PUCRS), in Brazil.
