Full Professor in the Department of Clinical Medicine at the Botucatu School of Medicine (FMB) of São Paulo State University (UNESP). His areas of expertise include teaching abdominal semiotics, gastroenterology, hepatology, clinical reasoning and clinical research at various academic levels, such as Undergraduate, Specialization, Medical Residency, and Professional Post-Graduate studies in Clinical Research. At FMB-UNESP, he created and implemented the Distance Education and Health Information Technologies Unit (NEAD.Tis) from 2001 to 2004, coordinated the Botucatu Hub in the Institutional Citizen Pedagogy e-Learning Project - Unesp (Unesp 2002-2005), established and led the Clinical Research Unit (UPECLIN) from 2005 to 2015, as well as created and coordinated the Committee for Good Scientific Practices in Research (CBPC) from 2015 to 2020. He served as the Coordinator of the Class Council (2018-2023) and currently serves as the Coordinator of the Structuring Teaching Unit (NDE). He is a member of the Scientific Council of NEAD.Tis and the Administrative Council of CEVAP (Center for the Study of Venoms and Venomous Animals) - UNESP.He was a founding member of APEF (São Paulo Association for the Study of the Liver) since 1996, UNESP representative in the Science, Technology, and Innovation in Health Council of the State Health Department of São Paulo (SES/SP) from 2010 to 2012, assessor in the Operationalization Plan of the National Clinical Research Network (Rede Nacional de Pesquisa Clínica) SCTIE/DECIT MS from 2017 to 2019, member of the COMCITI (Municipal Council of Science, Technology, and Innovation) of Botucatu/SP from 2015 to 2019, and a member of the Administrative Council and mentor of the Botucatu Technological Park (Technological Parks of the Government of São Paulo, Municipal Government of Botucatu/SP). He has served as an assessor and consultant in various projects across different institutions, including the National Clinical Research Network (Rede Nacional de Pesquisa Clínica) DECIT/SCTIE/MS, the Clinical Research Unit of HCFMB Unesp, Development of Fibrin Sealant and Antiapilic Serum by CEVAP/UNESP, creation of the Biomedicines Factory CEVAP/FMB/UNESP, definition of EAD criteria in CAPES/MEC Post-Graduate studies, the Health Academic Complex FMB/HCFMB/FAMESP Unesp (CAS), and the School of Health Education FMB/HCFMB/FAMESP Unesp (EES).Currently, he holds the position of Coordinator of Professional Programs in the Medicine II field at CAPES MEC Brazil (2018-2021 and 2022-Present), was a member of the CAPES e-Learning Working Group and is now Coordinator of the Hybrid Teaching Working Group/MEC/CAPES, as per MEC/CAPES Ordinance No. 89 dated May 15th, 2023. Atualmente, exerce a função de Coordenador dos Programas Profissionais na área Medicina II na CAPES MEC Brasil (2018-2021 e 2022-Atual), foi membro do GT EaD CAPES e é o Coordenador do GT Ensino Híbrido/MEC/CAPES, conforme a Portaria MEC/CAPES N 89, de 15 de Maio de 2023.
