Marcelo dos Reis Tavares

Bachelor and Master in Social History from the Universidade Estadual Paulista (UNESP). Currently working in the region of Franca (SP), teaching History and Philosophy at the Liceu Francano, General Knowledge and Current Affairs in preparatory courses Meta and Márcio Cunha, and History and Religious in Restinga (SP). Their lines of research are: Brazilian historiography; politics and society in Brazil at the transition from Empire to Republic; history of the Catholic Church; history of Freemasonry, the Catholic Church and Freemasonry in Brazil's between the nineteenth and the twentieth century; history of religions.

Doutor em História pela FCHS/UNESP, dentro da linha de pesquisa "História e Cultura Política" (2022); Mestre em História pela FCHS/UNESP, dentro da linha de pesquisa "História e Cultura Social" (2007); Bacharel e Licenciado em História pela FCHS/UNESP (2001); Licenciado em Pedagogia pela Universidade Cruzeiro do Sul (2017). Suas pesquisas abarcam temas como história política do Brasil Império, história da Igreja no Brasil do século XIX, história das relações entre Igreja e Maçonaria no século XIX.
