B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the Universidade Federal da Paraíba (1985), M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from Universidade Federal da Paraíba (1987), M.Phil. in Electrical Engineering - Brunel University (1999) and D.Sc in Electrical Engineering from the Universidade Federal de Campina Grande (2005). He is currently associate professor at the Universidade de Pernambuco and Engineer IV Companhia Hidro Elétrica do São Francisco. He has experience in Electrical Engineering with emphasis on Electrical Engineering, acting on the following topics: the Transmission System Caharging, Substation Arrangement , Electrical Systems Planning.

Atualmente é professor adjunto da Universidade de Pernambuco e Engenheiro IV da Companhia Hidro Elétrica do São Francisco. Tem experiência na área de Engenharia Elétrica, com ênfase em Engenharia Elétrica, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: Tarifa de Uso do Sistema de Transmissão, Arranjo de Subestações, Planejamento de Sistemas Elétricos.
