Ana Luiza Drumond Bock

has obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Biological Science (2006), and Master's (2007) and PhD (2011) Degrees in Cellular Biology, through the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais - UFMG. Currently, she occupies the position of Staff Scientist at the Department of Functional and Chemical Genomics of the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation - OMRF, in Oklahoma City, OK, performing research in the initiation of ovarian carcinoma. In the past, the scientist has obtained experience working with Morphology and Genetics. Among the fields studied by Dr. Drumond-Bock are: Biology of Reproduction, Cardiovascular Biology, Epigenetics and Testicular Cancer. Her main interest of research includes genetic alterations that lead to the development of spontaneous high grade serous ovarian cancer in women without the history of ovarian cancer in their families.

Atualmente, é pesquisadora no Department of Functional and Chemical Genomics da Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation - OMRF, em Oklahoma City, OK (EUA), atuando em pesquisa sobre a iniciação do câncer de ovário. No passado, a pesquisadora obteve experiências nas área de Morfologia e Genética. Dentre as ênfases estudadas pela doutora Drumond-Bock estão: Biologia da Reprodução, Biologia Cardiovascular, Epigenética e Câncer Testicular. Seu principal tema de interesse no momento inclui alterações genéticas que levam ao desenvolvimento do carcinoma de ovário seroso em mulheres sem histórico de câncer de ovário familiar.
