Tânia de Castro Araújo

Assistant Professor in the Department of Fine Arts of the School of Fine Arts / UFMG, of the Visual Arts Course - Engraving - doctorate at ARTES from ESCOLA DE BELAS ARTES - UFMG (2016).Master in Visual Arts (EBA / UFMG, 2006), graduated in Fine Arts - Bachelor in Engraving (EBA / UFMG, 1983). He has taught Screen Printing at the School of Fine Arts since 1994. Search the serigraphic printing in the enlarged field of the engraving - on papers and differentiated supports: fabrics, glass, wood, plastics, objects etc. He continues his imagery research, begun in 1995, on popular elements of the urban landscape of Belo Horizonte: merchant goods, texts, signs, advertisements, posters and mailboxes. His artistic production has an emphasis on engraving, photography, objects, installations and mixed techniques. Participated in several exhibitions: individual, in the Gallery of the School of Fine Arts (2006); Clóvis Salgado Foundation - Palácio das Artes, Belo Horizonte (2007); Winter Festival - UFMG (2007); Knowledge Space - UFMG (2016); Space f - EBA UFMG (2016); Centro Cultural Correios de São Paulo / SP (2017); Museum Correios de Brasília / DF (2017); and also participated in national collective exhibitions. His works were selected in the second and third editions of the NBC Tokyo Screen Print Biennial in Tokyo / Japan (2009, 2011 and 2019); II National Biennial of Engraving - Cultural Space Foundation, in Paraíba, Objects and other Objects / Contemporary Art of Minas Gerais, in Goiânia, Art Project in the Bus, in the capital of Minas Gerais, intervention in the III Art Forum of the Americas, also in Belo Horizonte, and the Goiás National Art Exhibition in Goiânia. In 2006, he participated in the Magazine of the Art Institute of the Americas - Brazil / Cuba and in the Biennial Naïfs do Brasil [between cultures], in Piracicaba.

Professora Adjunta do Departamento de Artes Plásticas da Escola de Belas Artes/UFMG, do Curso de Artes Visuais ? Habilitação em Gravura ? Doutora em Artes Visuais (EBA/UFMG, 2016). Mestre em Artes Visuais (EBA/UFMG, 2006), graduada em Belas Artes - Bacharel em Gravura (EBA/UFMG, 1983). Leciona Serigrafia na Escola de Belas Artes desde 1994. Pesquisa a impressão serigráfica no campo ampliado da gravura ? sobre papéis e suportes diferenciados: tecidos, vidros, madeira, plásticos, objetos etc. Continua a sua pesquisa imagética, iniciada em 1995, sobre elementos populares da paisagem urbana de Belo Horizonte: mercadorias dos vendedores ambulantes, textos, letreiros, anúncios, cartazes e caixas de correio. Sua produção artística tem ênfase em gravura, fotografia, objetos, instalações e técnicas mistas. Participou de diversas exposições: individuais, na Galeria da Escola de Belas Artes (2006); Fundação Clóvis Salgado ? Palácio das Artes, Belo Horizonte (2007); Festival de Inverno ? UFMG (2007); Espaço do Conhecimento ? UFMG (2016); Espaço f ? EBA UFMG (2016); Centro Cultural Correios de São Paulo/SP (2017); Museu Correios de Brasília/ DF (2017); tendo participado também de mostras coletivas nacionais. Seus trabalhos foram selecionados na segunda e terceira edição da NBC Tokyo Screen Print Biennial, em Tóquio/Japão (2009, 2011 e 2019); II Bienal Nacional da Gravura - Fundação Espaço Cultural, na Paraíba, Objetos e outros Objetos/Arte Contemporânea de Minas Gerais, em Goiânia, Projeto Arte no Ônibus, na capital mineira, intervenção no III Fórum Arte das Américas, também em Belo Horizonte, e o Salão Nacional de Arte de Goiás, em Goiânia. Em 2006, teve destaque sua participação na Revista do Instituto Arte das Américas ? Brasil/Cuba e na Bienal Naïfs do Brasil [entre culturas], em Piracicaba.
