Graduada em História pela Universidade Federal de Rio Grande (FURG). Mestre e Doutora em Sociologia pela Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS). Fez doutorado sanduíche na Universidade de Granada, Estanha (2009). Realizou Pós-Doutorado na Universidade de Alicante, Espanha (2018). Atualmente é professora da Rede Federal de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia do Rio Grande do Sul, Campus Viamão. Pesquisa e atua nas associações entre agroecologia, questões de gênero e periferias metropolitanas; e agroecologia e ruralidade quilombola.
I graduated in History from the Federal University of Rio Grande in 2004, graduated in Sociology from the Federal University of Pelotas the following year, in 2005. I completed my master's degree in Sociology at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul during the years 2007 and 2008. In 2009 I had the opportunity to visit the University of Granada, Spain, where I started my PhD studies in Sociology, and concluded it at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul in 2015. My thesis focused on quilombola territorialities and inter-ethnic relations between rural Quilombola and indigenous peoples. I am currently a teacher at the Federal Network of Professional and Technological Education, where I coordinate the Center for Afro-Brazilian and Indigenous Studies (Neabi), as well as the Technical Course in Agroecology. The latter focuses on incorporating the knowledge of traditional peoples and on the construction of gender identities through women's associations in Agroecology. Currently I also coordinate the research project Dialogando com Saberes Nativos: black women who organize politics in the neighborhood of Restinga, a project that was highlighted in several scientific events in the year 2016.
