João Pedro de Sousa Cardoso

João Cardoso graduated in Medical Computing and Instrumentation Engineering from the School of Engineering, Polytechnic of Porto, and has a Master?s degree in Medical Physics from the Faculty of Sciences, University of Porto. After his MSc, João Cardoso worked as a Radiation Protection Technician, in the Medical Physics field. Later on, João Cardoso won a research grant at the Polytechnic Institute of Portalegre, regarding the experimental and numerical characterization of pilot-scale biomass and municipal solid waste gasification systems, a position which he holds up until this day.João Cardoso published a combined number of nearly 20 book chapters and scientific papers in energy-related high impact international journals (average impact factor of ~4.5). Invited reviewer in peer-reviewed international journals (Energy Conversion and Management, ASTM Journal of Testing and Evaluation, and Renewable Energy Focus).
