Paulo Cesar da Camara Monteiro Junior

Graduated in Physics from the State University of Rio de Janeiro (1999) and Master in Physics from the State University of Rio de Janeiro (2002). Has experience in cosmology with emphasis on black holes and gravitational waves. PhD in Naval and Oceanic Engineering (2007), with emphasis on Intelligent Systems and Materials, Theoretical, Numerical and Experimental Analysis of Structures, having worked in different areas of engineering, including underwater acoustics, flow assurance and Hydrodynamics. Postdoctorate in energy harvesting. He was Visiting Professor at the Department of Naval and Ocean Engineering at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro and a researcher at the Department of Naval and Ocean Engineering at COPPE / UFRJ. He is currently Professor of the Department of Mechanical Engineering at CEFET-RJ, working in the areas of intelligent materials and structures with emphasis on shape memory alloys, piezoelectric materials, energy harvesting, constitutive modeling and finite elements.

Possui graduação em Física pela Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (1999) e mestrado em Física pela Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (2002). Tem experiência na área de cosmologia com ênfase em buracos negros e ondas gravitacionais. É doutor em Engenharia Naval e Oceânica (2007), com ênfase em Sistemas e Materiais Inteligentes, Análise Teórica, Numérica e Experimental de Estruturas, tendo trabalhado em diferentes áreas como: acústica submarina, garantia de escoamento e Hidrodinâmica. Realizou pós-doutorado em Energy Harvesting. Foi Professor Visitante do Departamento de Engenharia Naval e Oceânica da Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro e pesquisador no departamento de Engenharia Naval e Oceânica da COPPE/UFRJ. Atualmente é Professor do Departamento de Engenharia Mecânica do CEFET-RJ, atuando nas áreas de materiais e estruturas inteligentes com ênfase em ligas com memória de forma, materiais piezelétricos, Energy Harvesting, modelagem constitutiva e elementos finitos.
