Graziela Maria Zannini

Bachelor´s in Biological Sciences from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul (1988), a Master's degree in Biosciences with study of the parasite Angiostrongylus costaricensis from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul (1996) and a PhD in Parasitic Biology with an emphasis on the study of immunopathology of malaria by the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation (2001). She is currently a researcher at the Evandro Chagas National Institute of Infectious Diseases of the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation. Head of the Parasitology Laboratory that is part of the Research and Diagnosis Center for Malaria, being a reference for the diagnosis of malaria in the Extra-Amazonian Region. Research with an emphasis on malaria, working mainly on the following topics: immunopathology of malaria, cerebral malaria, parasitological diagnosis of malaria. It also develops a study with helminths and enteroprotozoa.

Possui graduação em Ciências Biológicas pela Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul (1988), mestrado em Biociências com estudo do parasito Angiostrongylus costaricensis pela Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul (1996) e doutorado em Biologia Parasitária com ênfase no estudo da imunopatologia da malária pela Fundação Oswaldo Cruz (2001). Atualmente é pesquisadora titular do Instituto Nacional de Infectologia Evandro Chagas da Fundação Oswaldo Cruz. Chefe do Laboratório de Parasitologia que faz parte do Centro de Pesquisa e Diagnóstico para a Malária, sendo referência para o diagnóstico da malária na Região Extra Amazônica. Pesquisa com ênfase em malária, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: imunopatologia da malária, malária cerebral, diagnóstico parasitológico da malária. Também desenvolve estudo com helmintos e enteroprotozoários.
