Thiago A. M. Euzebio received his B.Eng., M.Sc., and D.Sc. degrees from the Federal University of Campina Grande (UFCG), Paraíba, Brazil, in 2008, 2010, and 2015, respectively. He started his career as an electrical engineer at Atecel in 2010, working on safety instrumented systems and control design for Petrobras plants. In 2016, he joined the Instituto Tecnologico Vale as a coordinator of the OptiPlant project, focused on developing and implementing advanced control systems and instrumentation for mineral processing plants. He also led the Efficient Comminution Operation (ECO) Project in collaboration with the Lulea University of Technology in Sweden. In 2022, he became a researcher at Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf in Germany, joining the Institute of Fluid Dynamics. Thiago is also a permanent lecturer in the master's program for mining automation at the Federal University of Ouro Preto and a Fellow Level 2 of the National Council of Technological and Scientific Development (CNPq). With over 70 publications, including journal papers, patents, and conference proceedings, Thiago's research interests lie in advanced process control, wastewater treatment plants, and q-learning applied to process control.
