Priscila Soares Oliveira

I have a Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences from UFPR. During college, I have been involved in four research projects in the area of ecology and diversity of Hymenoptera, focusing on solitary bees and wasps. One of the projects was done as a Scientific Initiation volunteer and the other one received a grant from CNPQ. I have a Master's degree in Entomology from the University of São Paulo (FFCL-RP). My research aimed to investigate the relationship between the visual organs of Brazilian nocturnal bees, belonging to the genus Megalopta, and the environment in which they occur. I have a Ph.D. in Sciences (Concentration Area: Entomology) from UFPR, with a thesis on the evolution of head shape in nocturnal and diurnal bees from the tribe Augochlorini (Halictinae). Sou Bacharel em Ciências Biológicas pela UFPR. Minha pesquisa teve como objetivo investigar a relação entre os órgãos visuais de abelhas noturnas brasileiras, pertencentes ao gênero Megalopta, e o ambiente em que ocorrem.Sou doutora em Ciências (Área de Concetração: Entomologia) pela UFPR, com tese sobre a evolução da forma da cabeça em abelhas noturnas e diurnas da tribo Augochlorini (Halictinae).
