Lucas de Freitas Bacci

Doctor in plant biology through the University of Campinas (UNICAMP), with a nine month period abroad in the New York Botanical Garden (NYBG). I have got my botany master's degree in the Federal University of Paraná and graduate and bachelor in biology by the Federal University of Uberlandia (UFU). I have experience in taxonomy, systematics, phylogenomics, molecular phylogenetics, diversification analyses and biogeography. Specifically, I work with Melastomataceae, mainly Atlantic Forest lineages. Doutor em biologia vegetal Universidade Estadual de Campinas (UNICAMP) com período de nove meses no Jardim Botânico de Nova Iorque (NYBG). É mestre em botânica pela Universidade Federal do Paraná (UFPR). Possui licenciatura e bacharelado em Ciências Biológicas pela Universidade Federal de Uberlândia (2012). Possui experiência em taxonomia, sistematica, filogenia molecular, filogenomica, análises evolutivas e biogeográficas. Especificamente, trabalha com a família Melastomataceae, principalmente com linhagens da Mata Atlântica. Possui experiencia de dois anos atuando como pesquisador (Pos Doutorado) na Universidade da Flórida.
