Glauco Barsalini

Research Professor at the Master's Program in Sciences of Religion and at the Faculty of Social Sciences at the Pontifical Catholic University of Campinas (PUC-Campinas). Member of the National Association for Graduate Studies and Research in Theology and Sciences of Religion (ANPTECRE) - Scientific Council (2018-2020); Secretary General (since August 2020). He chairs the Forum of Scientific Associations in Sciences of Religion, Theology and Religious Education (mandate 2021/2023). Post-doctorate at the Department of Theology at Loyola University Chicago (2019), Ph.D. in Philosophy from the State University of Campinas - UNICAMP (2011), Master in Multimedia from UNICAMP (2001), Bachelor's and Degree in Social Sciences from UNICAMP (1995 ; 1997), Bachelor in Legal and Social Sciences from the Pontifical Catholic University of Campinas - PUC-Campinas (2002). His academic trajectory has been guided by studies and reflections on social power and its relations with the power of the State. In this diapason, culture and cultural identity, collective power and state and legal powers, human rights and the problem of social exclusion have been the main keys to his reflections. Currently, he studies the relationship between theology and politics in contemporary times.

É Professor Pesquisador do Programa de Mestrado em Ciências da Religião e da Faculdade de Ciências Sociais da Pontifícia Universidade Católica de Campinas (PUC-Campinas). É membro da Associação Nacional de Pós-Graduação e Pesquisa em Teologia e Ciências da Religião (ANPTECRE) - Conselho Científico (2018-2020); Secretário Geral (2020 a 2022); Presidente (desde agosto de 2022). Preside o Fórum de Associações Científicas de Ciências da Religião, Teologia e Ensino Religioso (mandato 2021/2023). Realizou pós-doutorado no Departamento de Teologia da Loyola University Chicago (2019), é doutor em Filosofia pela Universidade Estadual de Campinas - UNICAMP (2011), mestre em Multimeios pela UNICAMP (2001), bacharel e licenciado em Ciências Sociais pela UNICAMP (1995; 1997), bacharel em Ciências Jurídicas e Sociais pela Pontifícia Universidade Católica de Campinas - PUC-Campinas (2002). Sua trajetória acadêmica tem se pautado por estudos e reflexões a respeito do poder social e de suas relações com o poder do Estado. Nesse diapasão, cultura e identidade cultural, poder coletivo e poderes estatal e jurídico, direitos humanos e o problema da exclusão social têm se conformado como as principais chaves de suas reflexões. Atualmente estuda as relações entre a teologia e a política na contemporaneidade.
