Debora Coelho da Silva

Engenheira Florestal pela Universidade Federal do Amazonas (2017). Participei de Projeto de Iniciação Científica na área de entomologia, pesquisando sobre comportamento e nutrição de abelhas indígenas sem ferrão. Atuei em Projetos de Extensão Universitária (PACE). Participei do Grupo de Entomologia Florestal e Econômica da Universidade Federal do Amazonas (2015-2017). Tenho experiência com manejo e conservação de abelhas melíponas. Sou mestra pela Universidade Federal do Amazonas no Programa de Pós-Graduação Stricto Sensu em Ciências Florestais e Ambientais - PPGCIFA (2019), na linha de Silvicultura, estudando a relação de traços funcionais de espécies florestais em resposta à pressão por herbivoria. Fui Apoio Técnico de Nível Superior do projeto "Estabelecimento de espécies florestais em diferentes sistemas de plantio sobre áreas alteradas no Amazonas" (2019-2020). Atualmente sou doutoranda na Universidade Estadual Paulista "Júlio de Mesquita Filho" - Unesp, no Programa de Ciência Florestal, na linha de Conservação dos Recursos Naturais (2021). Estou investigando a resistência do xilema ao embolismo em espécies arbóreas de florestas secundárias, em nível anatômico e fisiológico. Faço parte dos grupos de pesquisa Atividade cambial e anatomia ecológica de lenho e casca em angiospermas da UNESP/Botucatu e do grupo Silvicultura de Florestas Plantadas na Amazônia da Ufam/Manaus.

Forestry Engineer from the Federal University of Amazonas (2017). Participated in a Scientific Initiation Project in the area of entomology, researching on behavior and nutrition of indigenous stingless bees. I worked in University Extension Projects (PACE). I participated in the Group of Forest and Economic Entomology at the Federal University of Amazonas (2015-2017). I have experience with management and conservation of melipona bees. I have a master's degree from the Federal University of Amazonas in the Stricto Sensu Graduate Program in Forestry and Environmental Sciences - PPGCIFA (2019), in the line of Silviculture, studying the relationship of functional traits of forest species in response to herbivory pressure. I was Higher Level Technical Support of the project "Establishment of forest species in different planting systems over altered areas in Amazonas" (2019-2020). Currently I am a doctoral candidate at the Universidade Estadual Paulista "Júlio de Mesquita Filho" - Unesp, in the Forest Science Program, in the line of Conservation of Natural Resources (2021). I am investigating the resistance of xylem to embolism in secondary forest tree species, at the anatomical and physiological level. I am part of the research groups Cambial activity and ecological anatomy of wood and bark in angiosperms at UNESP/Botucatu and the Silviculture of Planted Forests in the Amazon at Ufam/Manaus.
