Daniel Alexander Flórez-Orrego

Engenheiro Mecânico pela Faculdade de Minas da Universidade Nacional de Colômbia, Medellín (2011). Mestre (2012-2014) e Doutor (2014-2018) em Engenharia Mecânica com ênfase em Energia e Fluídos pela Escola Politécnica da Universidade de São Paulo. Sua atividade de pesquisa tem recebido apoio do Programa de Recursos Humanos da Agência Nacional de Petróleo, Gás Natural e Biocombustíveis - ANP, PRH-19 USP; da Embaixada do Governo Suíço na Colômbia por meio do programa de Bolsas de Excelência para Cientistas e Artistas - ESKAS; do Departamento Colombiano de Ciência, Tecnologia e Inovação - COLCIENCIAS; e da Companhia Petróleo Brasileiro S.A - PETROBRAS, através da Fundação de apoio à Universidade de Sao Paulo - FUSP. Congraçado com o Prêmio ABCM Embraer 2019 de Melhor Tese de Pesquisa em Engenharia Mecânica na Categoria Doutorado; a Menção Honrosa Prêmio Tese Destaque USP versão 2020 e Melhor artigo técnico da Conferência ECOS 2016 em Portoroz, na Eslovênia. Atua na Área de Síntese e Otimização de Processos Industriais, Químicos e de Geração de Potência. Membro da Associação Colombiana de Engenheiros Eletricistas e Mecânicos - ACIEM, capítulo Antioquia.

Mechanical Engineer from the Faculty of Mines of the National University of Colombia, Medellín (2011). Awarded the 2019 ABCM Embraer Award for Best Research Thesis in Mechanical Engineering in the Doctorate Category; the Honorable Mention Award Thesis Destaque USP version 2020 and Best technical article of the 2016 ECOS Conference in Portoroz, Slovenia. He works in the area of ​​Synthesis and Optimization of Industrial, Chemical and Power Generation Processes. Member of the Colombian Association of Electrical and Mechanical Engineers - ACIEM, Antioquia chapter.
