Cleia Mara Fernandes Barradas

Graduated in Agronomy from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (1976). Obtained the title of Master of Fruit Science Temperate Climate (Phytopathology concentration area), the Federal University of Pelotas - UFPeI, RS (1980), and a PhD in "Pure and Applied Biology", from Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine, University of London, England (1999). She is a retired associate professor at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul. He has experience in Plant Pathology and Nematology, emphasizing the interaction between soil fungi and nematodes in fruit and vegetable crops. Worked in the diagnosis, management and control of agents of diseases in different cultures. Resistant to the use of pesticides, always opted for alternative forms of control (Integrated Control, which covers Biological Control, agroclimatic zoning, use of resistant cultivars, seedlings certification, among others). He worked as a teacher responsible in undergraduate courses "Phytopathology Principles" and "Diseases of Cultivated Plants" and in the Graduate, in the "Seminars" discipline. Guided students Scientific Initiation; co-directed Graduate students; participated in the judging panels of theses; was a member of the Agronomy Course Career Commission and the Jury of Scientific Initiation salons. Member of CAPES Consultant, FAPERGS and the magazine "Agricultural Research Gaucha" of FEPAGRO. Implemented the "Diagnose Service and Identification of Nematodes" at the Faculty of Agronomy. Coordinated the project of international cooperation between the Faculty of Agronomy - UFRGS, Secretary of Agriculture of Rio Grande do Sul State, British Council and Imperial College, University of London, England, entitled "Regional Program of Nematology." Since 2008 is an environmentalist and independent researcher responsible for the project "Plastics in Environmental Health", emphasis on EDCs (Endocrine Disruptors Chemicals its acronym in English), especially bisphenol-A (BPA).

Possui graduação em Agronomia, pela Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (1976). Obteve o título de Mestre em Fruticultura de Clima Temperado (área de concentração Fitopatologia), na Universidade Federal de Pelotas UFPeI, RS (1980), e o título de PhD em "Pure and Applied Biology", pelo Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine, University of London, Inglaterra (1999). É professora adjunta aposentada, da Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul. Tem experiência em Fitopatologia e Nematologia, com ênfase na interação entre fungos de solo e nematoides em plantas frutíferas e olerícolas. Trabalhou na diagnose, manejo e controle de agentes causadores de moléstias em culturas diversas. Resistente ao uso de agrotóxicos, optou sempre por formas alternativas de controle (Controle Integrado, o qual abrange Controle Biológico, Zoneamento Agroclimático, uso de cultivares resistentes, certificação de mudas, entre outras). Atuou como professora responsável nas disciplinas de graduação "Princípios de Fitopatologia" e "Moléstias de Plantas Cultivadas" e, na Pós Graduação, na disciplina de "Seminários". Orientou alunos de Iniciação Científica; co-orientou alunos de Pós-Graduação; participou em bancas examinadoras de Teses; foi membro da Comissão de Carreira do curso de Agronomia e da Comissão Julgadora dos Salões de Iniciação Científica. Membro Consultor da CAPES, FAPERGS e da revista "Pesquisa Agropecuária Gaúcha" da FEPAGRO. Implantou o "Serviço de Diagnose e Identificação de Nematoides", na Faculdade de Agronomia. Coordenou o Projeto de Cooperação Internacional, entre a Faculdade de Agronomia UFRGS, Secretaria da Agricultura do Estado do Rio Grande do Sul, Conselho Britânico e Imperial College, University of London, Inglaterra, intitulado "Programa Regional de Nematologia". Desde 2008 é ambientalista e pesquisadora independente responsável pelo projeto "Plásticos na Saúde Ambiental", ênfase em EDCs (Químicos Disruptores Endócrinos na sigla em inglês), com destaque para o Bisfenol-A (BPA).
