Fernando Pires Hartwig

Fernando Pires Hartwig is bachelor in Biotechnology by Federal University of Pelotas (UFPel), and received his MSc and Doctorate degrees in Epidemiology at the same institution, where he currently is an adjunct professor in Epidemiology. He is a permanent researcher at the Postgraduate Program in Epidemiology. His research interests are: lifecourse epidemiology; causal inference in epidemiology; translation of statistical methods between different fields of epidemiology.

Fernando Pires Hartwig é graduado em Biotecnologia pela Universidade Federal de Pelotas (UFPel), e Mestre e Doutor em Epidemiologia pela mesma instituição. Atualmente, atua como Professor Adjunto na UFPel. É docente permanente do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Epidemiologia. Os interesses de pesquisa são: epidemiologia do ciclo vital; inferência causal em epidemiologia; transposição de métodos estatísticos entre diferentes áreas do conhecimento epidemiológico.
