Leandro Henrique Manfredi

Graduado em Ciências Biológicas nas modalidades Licenciatura e Bacharelado pela Universidade de São Paulo (USP). Mestre e doutor em Fisiologia pela Faculdade de Medicina de Ribeirão Preto (USP). Durante um ano, em seu doutoramento, estagiou e desenvolveu parte de sua pesquisa no "Singapore Institute for Clinical Science", em Singapura. Atualmente é Professor Adjunto da Universidade Federal da Fronteira Sul e docente permanente do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Ciências Biomédicas, campus Chapecó. Em sua prática docente, busca desenvolver cenários envolvidos nos processos de ensino-aprendizagem que promovam a autonomia discente. Tem particular interesse no processo avaliativo, estudando o tema de maneira reflexiva a fim de aprimorar a avaliação também como um momento de aprendizagem. Por sua formação e atuação científica na área da fisiologia humana, as experiências vivenciadas em extensão permeiam a abordagem do funcionamento do corpo humano, a qual é inserida na sociedade por meio de orientação aos discentes que organizam a liga acadêmica de Anatomofisiologia. Atualmente, em sua linha de pesquisa, investiga os processos patofisiológicos associados em condições de inflamação crônica de baixo grau, como hipertensão e síndrome metabólica. Tem por objetivo associar a pesquisa básica com a prática clínica por meio da pesquisa translacional ("from bench to bedside") no que tange a intervenções para a prevenção, diagnóstico e tratamento dessas doenças.

Graduate in Biological Sciences in Bachelor's Degree and Bachelor's Degree from the University of São Paulo (USP). Master and Doctor of Physiology at the Faculty of Medicine of Ribeirão Preto (USP). For a year, in his doctorate, he studied and developed part of his research at the Singapore Institute for Clinical Science in Singapore. He is currently an Adjunct Professor of the Federal University of the Southern Border and a permanent professor of the Post-Graduate Program in Biomedical Sciences, campus Chapecó. In his teaching practice, he seeks to develop scenarios involved in teaching-learning processes that promote student autonomy. He has particular interest in the evaluation process, studying the topic reflexively in order to improve the evaluation also as a moment of learning. By his formation and scientific activity in the field of human physiology, his expiriences in the extension permeate the approach to the functioning of the human body, which is inserted in society through guidance of students who organize the academic league of Anatomophysiology. Currently, in his research line, he investigates the associated pathophysiological processes in conditions of chronic inflammation of low degree, such as hypertension and metabolic syndrome. It aims to associate basic research with clinical practice through translational research ("from bench to bedside") with regard to interventions for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of these diseases.
