Virginia Therezinha Kestering

Doutoranda em Sociologia pelo Programa de Pós-Graduação em Sociologia da Universidade Federal do Paraná com doutorado sanduíche no Departamento de Sociologia da Universidade de Toronto. Pesquisadora do Núcleo de Estudos de Gênero (NEG) desde 2018 e membro do Comitê de Pesquisa Alienation Theory of the International Sociological Association desde 2020. Obteve a titulação de mestre em Sociologia pelo Programa de Pós-Graduação em Sociologia da Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (2017). Defendeu a dissertação Da Princesa em Perigo ao Príncipe Descartado: O amor romântico nos filmes de princesa da Disney na linha de pesquisa de Sociologia da Cultura e da Religião. Atualmente se dedica à pesquisa de sociologia da alimentação com interfaces em gênero e sociologia da cultura e das emoções.

Ph.D. student in Sociology at the Graduate Program in Sociology of the Federal University of Paraná with an exchange period at the Department of Sociology of the University of Toronto. Researcher at the Gender Studies Nucleus (NEG) since 2018 and member of the Alienation Theory Research Committee of the International Sociological Association since 2020. I obtained a master's degree in Sociology from the Graduate Program in Sociology at the Federal University of Minas Gerais (2017). I defended the dissertation From the Princess in Distress to the Discarded Prince: Romantic Love in Disney Princess Films in the line of research of Sociology of Culture and Religion. I am currently dedicated to research on the sociology of food with interfaces in gender and the sociology of culture and emotions.
