Robson da Cunha Santos

Doutorado em Engenharia Civil, com especialização em Petróleo e Gás, pela COPPE/RJ em 2020. Meu percurso acadêmico inclui um mestrado em Ciência da Computação pela Universidade Federal Fluminense, concluído em 2000, e graduação em Engenharia Elétrica pela Universidade Católica de Petrópolis em 1992. Atualmente, sou professor concursado no Instituto Federal Fluminense (IFF/Cabo Frio), onde coordeno os Cursos Técnicos de Segurança Cibernética e Metrologia e, docente na Engenharia Mecânica e Eletromecânica. Além disso, possuo experiência na indústria de Petróleo, onde trabalhei por 13 anos, desde plataformas de Perfuração e Produção até o Centro de Pesquisa da Petrobras (CENPES). Minha atuação profissional é diversificada, e tenho expertise nas áreas de Controle e Automação, Ciência da Computação e Robótica. Dedico-me a temas como controle e automação, plataformas de prototipagem Arduino, informática, sistemas embarcados, linguagens de programação, realidade virtual e aprimoramento da experiência dos alunos. Uma das minhas realizações notáveis foi meu papel como gerente de projeto em parceria com a empresa SIGHIR, com financiamento do SEBRAE e EMBRAPII, e a possibilidade de patentear os resultados desse trabalho. Participo ativamente de congressos e conferências internacionais, onde apresento oralmente minhas pesquisas e contribuições no campo da Engenharia e Computação. Em resumo, sou um profissional dedicado, com sólida formação acadêmica e vasta experiência no setor de Petróleo, além de contribuir significativamente para o avanço das áreas de Controle e Automação, Ciência da Computação e Robótica, tanto no meio acadêmico quanto na indústria.

PhD in Civil Engineering, with a specialization in Oil and Gas, from COPPE/RJ in 2020. My academic background includes a Master's degree in Computer Science from the Fluminense Federal University, completed in 2000, and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the Catholic University of Petrópolis in 1992. Currently, I am a tenured professor at the Federal Fluminense Institute (IFF/Cabo Frio), where I coordinate the Technical Courses in Cybersecurity and Metrology, and teach in Mechanical and Electromechanical Engineering. Furthermore, I have extensive experience in the Oil and Gas industry, having worked for 13 years in various roles, from Drilling and Production platforms to the Petrobras Research Center (CENPES). My professional work is diverse, and I have expertise in the areas of Control and Automation, Computer Science, and Robotics. I am dedicated to topics such as control and automation, Arduino prototyping platforms, informatics, embedded systems, programming languages, virtual reality, and enhancing the student experience. One of my notable achievements was my role as project manager in partnership with the company SIGHIR, with funding from SEBRAE and EMBRAPII, and the possibility of patenting the results of this work. I actively participate in international conferences, where I orally present my research and contributions in the field of Engineering and Computer Science. In summary, I am a dedicated professional, with a solid academic background and extensive experience in the Oil and Gas sector, contributing significantly to the advancement of Control and Automation, Computer Science, and Robotics in both academic and industrial settings.
