Historiador (CRP/ME: 0000001/PB). Doutor em História das Ciências pelo Programa de Pós-graduação em Ensino, Filosofia e História das Ciências - UFBA/UEFS. Graduado em História pela Universidade Federal de Campina Grande - PB. Mestre em História pela mesma instituição. Atuou como professor de História, Filosofia e Sociologia da rede pública de ensino na Paraíba entre 2009 e 2012 e em 2017. Atuou como Coordenador Pedagógico de Ciências Naturais e Ciências Humanas na rede pública de ensino da Paraíba. Atuou como Professor Substituto do Departamento de História da Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte - Campus CERES/Caicó entre 2015 e 2016. Pesquisa em História das Ciências nos contextos Brasileiro e Britânico no século XIX, com olhar especial para a história dos estudos etnológicos sobre os povos indígenas do Brasil; história da antropologia oitocentista e ciência "racial" em geral; história das culturas científicas; relações e distanciamentos entre as ciências do homem e as ciências naturais em meados do século XIX; história dos exploradores de ciência na América do Sul; produção de conhecimento científico na globalização imperial; história das ciências do homem; relações étnico-raciais. Outros temas de interesse são: gênero e ciência; e relações étnico raciais e ensino. Desenvolveu recente projeto de pesquisa junto ao Dana Research Centre do Science Museum, Londres. Served as teacher of History, Philosophy and Sociology in the public education system in the Paraíba Estate between 2009 and 2012, and in 2017, as well as Pedagogical Surpervisor of Natural and Human Sciences between 2019-2020. Served as Substitute Professor at the Department of History at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte - Campus CERES/Caicó between 2015 and 2016. Research in History of Science in the Brazilian and British contexts in the 19th-century, with a special interest in the history of f ethnological studies on Brazil?s Indigenous peoples; history of the nineteenth-century anthropology; aand ethinic-racial relations; scientific culture; relationships and divergences between the sciences of man and the natural sciences in the mid-nineteenth-century; also, history of science explorers in South America; production of scientific knowledge in the imperial globalisation; history of the sciences of man; Other topics of interest are gender and science; and ethnic-racial relations and teaching. Developed a recent research project at the Dana Research Center of the Science Museum, London.
