Professor Dougal Jerram aka 'Dr Volcano', an award winning Earth Scientist (Murchison Fund, Geological Society 2006), author and TV/Media personality, with over 24 years post PhD experience. Dougal is also an adjunct professor at the Centre for Earth Evolution and Dynamics at the University of Oslo.
Dougal has authored books, contributed over 95 peer reviewed papers, edited on key subjects, and undertaken fieldwork in an array of locations around the world. Media work includes on screen, live and pre-recorded TV and Radio, public speaking and popular writing.

With specialization in volcanics, rock textures, rifted basins, field/regional geology and petrology.
