Possui graduação em CIÊNCIAS BIOLÓGICAS pela UNIVERSIDADE FEDERAL DE MINAS GERAIS (1994) e mestrado em BIOLOGIA CELULAR pela UNIVERSIDADE FEDERAL DE MINAS GERAIS (1997). Atualmente é professor assistente IV da Pontifícia Universidade Católica de Minas Gerais.
